A good bit progress on my Sho Boki LG Cossacks 17 down 7 to go!
3 more troopers then onto trumpeters and officers
Can't see the shading on the trousers, coat or horse in the pic but it's there. Really enjoying these guys now.
That's me for the moment, awe ra best and happy wargaming!
Another great job, congrats Paul!

Thanks Gavin, glad you like them. I'm guessing I can check your blog through your icon there?
DeleteThey look awesome Paul. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rodger,
DeleteVery much appreciated!
Great work Paul!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ian!
DeleteReally beautifully done!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray, very kind of you to say buddy!!!
DeleteLovely work as always Paul.
ReplyDeleteVery impressed with the amount of detail on the faces at this scale, do you use any extra magnification to help with this?
Thanks Jacksarge, up until May June I didn't use any magnification however I noticed a slight change in my eyes when painting piping on the collars so a friend put me onto the clas ohlson lamp magnifier. It's weird as for these guys some days I can paint the eyes no bother and then the next day I use it for the lutzen. It's a handy bit of kit but can give you a little to much detail at times.
DeleteComing along beautifully, Paul!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, they are a lovely unit to paint and a nice set of figures.
DeleteSpeaking of eyes, have you painted their eyes?! That's insanely impressive.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ru, yeah I painted them as a response to a buddy who continually ribs me on doing to much detail. I don't usually put eyes in as they don't need them. Easier than you think though.
DeleteI admire your willpower as well as the painting skill. Word of warning though: you only get one pair of eyes - use the lamp!
ReplyDeleteCheers Gary, I use a regular lamp for painting usually. The magnifier was a tip from a friend. My brother got it and it has helped him greatly
DeleteThis is pure amazing what you can do.
ReplyDeleteSplendid work!
Sho
Thanks Sho, you sound Glaswegian with your pure amazing 😜
DeleteThey are not that amazing tho Sho very subtle shades. You've done a nice range with the. Well done!
These are bloody beautiful Paul. Sho has been teasing for years with his work and now to see you painting them up is a real treat! Look sensational mate.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carlo,
DeleteI know they are just 15/18mm but they are really nice little figures.
Superb work as always Paul. Those blonde Cossacks look very good indeed.
ReplyDeleteBen
Thanks Ben, just adding a little hair variation so they don't all look the same.
