Saxon Guard Battalion 1813

I'm struggling to maintain the blog as anyone reading this will have guested. Doing plenty of stuff, mostly WW2 in 20mm, lots and lots of building plus painting. I have recently finish this Battalion. I have a few videos in youtube of what I've been working on if anyone is interested.

Small limits in the technology I use and lack of time to get on the laptop hold me back from using blogger more, problems mostly with downloading/uploading pics on my phone and problem with blogger app on iPad air that only shows half my post when editing.

I've completed a Russian Jäger battalion, 5 figures away from completing a Pavlov battalion and half way through another Russian jäger battalion.

Anyway, sorry for the odd post.
Happy wargaming!

Yes I have missed being annoyed by your painting standard ! :-)

Good to see you posting again! Missed my regular fix of your artistry.

I totally understand though; I spend far more time on my iPad and iPhone than I do at my desktop lately, and use my iPhone for taking pictures of games and figures. But Blogger isn't mobile friendly at all from a posting point of view.

certainly up there in the ranks of impressive Napoleonic uniforms, and made even more so by your superb painting and conversions, Paul!

Thanks very much Peter, it's a pretty uniform alright.

Thanks Robert, agreed. I remember taking Mac files and pc files across to each other yrars ago. It was a nightmare. I'm afraid in some areas things haven't improved.

We love it so do keep it up if you can - a picture paints a thousand words etc. Thank you for inspiring us all to aspire to new heights!

Thanks very much Phil, I don't have much time to devote to Napoleonics at the moment.

Hi Paul, I love your painting. Can you let me know where the heads and bodies came from
Thanks
Sean

Paulalba said...

Thanjs very much Sean, the heads are off the AB guard in greatcoat and the bodies are the AB Saxon grenadier figures.

As an easier option I should have just added eppaulettes to the grenadiers in shako. A friend convinced me in the bearskin.

Get it sorted Paul, your audience requires more frequent updates! Do we need to chip in for a digital camera?

Good to see you posting again Paul, I've spent an age here recently using your Prussians as inspirational material

Thanks very much Valley boy, I'm glad they have been of some use!

Thanks Green Pinarello! I've got a digital camera, Samsung phone with a nice camera and iPad. Just matching everything up is time consuming.
