A quick post, here are a couple of Prussian ADC's I converted a wee while back and painted up as part of my Warboss Tae's May Painting Challenge, the final video is below if anyone is interested:
And some pics of the ADC's below if not.
I think this guys my favourite done as an officer of the Brandenburg hussars. Headswapped and neck drilled then pinned with paperclip and superglue with some putty to tidy up. The body fits the head well.
I'm very happy with the painting on this guy. I used the foundry Prussian blue shade and mid tone and a tiny touch of Coat d' Arms horse tone grey into the mid blue gave a lovely highlight.
MiniNatur flowers and turfs for fun.
And this guy was done as an adjutant to the king, can't see his face so well as his head is dipped but I'm chuffed with him to.
Anyway hope everyone is well and hopefully catch up with everyone's posts now that the challenge is over!
Happy war Gaming!!!

Very nicely done - ADC's and the painting challenge. There just aren't enough Prussian (or Russian) command/staff figures from AB.
These are both lovely figures, both your painting (wonderful blue highlights) and your treatment of the bases.
Best Regards,
Stokes
Great paint job as always...and beautiful flowers! Hope blood will not soil such beautiful flowers!
Love that headswap - looks terrific.
Gorgeous work Paul!
Usual superb standard
Awesome. Just awesome. Great head swop (where's the head from?). Any chance of a close up of the Landwehr/NC command stand? Well done
Stunning work Paul! Very impressive!
¡Qué maravilla! Hermosas figuras, delicadamente pintadas y escenificadas, felicitaciones. Carlos
How wonderful! Beautiful figures, delicately painted and staged, congratulations. Carlos
Two fine looking ADC's; the first especially looks full of swagger!
Such a nice figure!
All these beautifully painted conversions make for a visual feast. I hope your opponents appreciate these figures when on the table. I get the impression folks are too worried about tactics to take notice!
Thanks Gary, yeah I know, it would be good if there was another AB type company supplying 18mm figures
Thanks stokes I'm gkad you like them. It's taken me long enough to hit a nice highlight for my prussians.
Thanks Phil, know the blood usually flows when I'm taking the heads of with the scalpel!
Cheers FMB, it takes a bit of time but the efforts worth it!
Thanks phil, the challenge was very helpful getting the troops done, I would think your DBA would work well on YouTube!
hi Paul, thanks for your suggestion/recommendation - I would love to video tape my DBA armies on YouTube, but I have a lousy camera not really good recording...but I will give it a go! :o)
cheers,
I'm sure loads of people would find your collections interesting. Great modelling wargaming community on YouTube.
Thanks Sgt S!
Thanks Ru, the heads are a direct swap ADC to ADC. I'll pop a couple of the command salt and when i get a wee bit time.
Thanks Rodger, really appreciate your encouragement!
Thank you very much Carlos!
Thanks Peter, the 1st is my personal favourite out of all my commands
Thanks David!
Cheers Ken, I'm sure they will while they are shooting lumps out them
Great looking head swaps and a must to do as your Prussian Army gets larger with more command bases to create. I don't even do late war Prussians and yet I recognized both original figures right away, as I've converted the Hussar ADC to an early war version myself.
They look great Paul!
Christopher
Thanks Christopher!
Thanks John, yes it's infortunate, it would be great if AB looked back at the prussians and did a few extra command figures. No chance though. Glad you like them john, hope your doing well!
Superb work on these Paul, I love the hussar adc conversion.
Ben
Goodness me Paul! The Lieb hussars are stunning. And the ADCs are absolutely brilliant craftsmanship. You can be suitably chuffed with them.
Thanks Ben, he's my new favourite!
Thanks Craig,
Yeah I'm happy with them to. Glad you like them! The conversion was actually pretty straight forward. If you would like them yourself pop the figures in the post. Something else you may find interesting:

I did the draft a few months back so it didn't jump to the top when I posted it?
Enjoyed reading your comments about conversion, Paul. Am keen to have a go myself.
